Weekly Yoga Classes in Coolum Beach
on the Sunshine Coast

     
 

Being Yoga is one of the leading yoga schools on the Sunshine Coast. Highly experienced teachers, Vanessa Rudge and Michael Daly offer a range of yoga classes in Coolum Beach on both days and evenings.

We teach in the beautiful flowing style of vinyasa yoga which incorporates all movements with the flow of breath.  Practicing in this way energises and invigorates the entire body and mind. It also greatly assists the dissolving of tensions throughout the body. You will leave each class feeling refreshed and alive, whilst noticing a wonderful peace and calm within the mind.

Our weekly classes are divided into varying levels to cater for all fitness and health states.

  • The very popular gentle yoga class on Monday is suited to all age groups.  The focus here is on health management. Postures are designed to keep the body at an optimal level of health by stretching, toning & building strength in muscles and joints, breathing correctly and relaxing the body/mind.  
  • The Level 1 class on Thursday evening is suited to anyone who is new to yoga or who wants a nice workout for body and mind without pushing it too far.  Most standing postures are practiced together with deep stretching and joint opening.  The primary breathing techniques are taught and practiced regularly.  Each class concludes with a well deserved 15 min deep relaxation.
  • The Levels 1 - 2 classes are suited to anyone who has practiced yoga for some time or who has a reasonable fitness level and wants the complete yoga experience.  This dynamic style of yoga works the entire body with invigorating flows, strength building standing postures and tension dissolving stretches.  Breathing practices are further developed as well as inverted postures e.g. shoulder stand, handstand.  A 15 minute relaxation caps off a beautiful and invigorating class.

Please Bring: a towel, water and yoga mat if you have one

Note: there are no classes on Public Holidays
